Miles of Music and Pushstart Wagon

We are currently featured on Miles of Music. If you haven't yet bought the cd, we'd ask that you send yourself that-a-way and pick up a copy. We are honored to be a member of their site. Here's a review they posted of the album, except for the power-trio part, we agree whole-heartedly.

Pushstart Wagon - L.A. Was Our Alamo review by Miles of Music:

Just when you think there is something Replacements-like about So-Cal's Pushstart Wagon, you hear the word "replacement" 50 seconds into the opening track, "Paul". Then it happens a few more times and you realize this is no coincidence. The nod to Westerberg in the acknowledgements seals it. This strong opening number mixes Big Star guitar chime with Replacements style rock anthems. As L.A. Was Our Alamo progresses, elements of the band's other influences - U2, Pavement, Wilco - feel present, but never dominate. Singer/guitarist/lyricist Steve Guiles helps paint an opaque and gauze filtered vocal flow with crafty, thought provoking lyrics that expose the absurdity of the Los Angeles mythos and the quirks of its lovelorn residents. As a power trio, Pushstart Wagon sways from rootsy guitar pop to melodic and powerful passion rock with ease, packing every hook with vibrancy and high spirit. (self-released)

Nice, huh?
